Business automation finder

Find the processes in your business most worth automating, ranked by the time you could get back.

Tick the processes you run, say roughly how many hours a week each takes and how repetitive it is. You get a ranked list of automation opportunities with estimated hours saved, quick wins and a suggested approach for each.

You will need

  • A rough idea of weekly hours spent on admin tasks
  • Optional: your average hourly employment cost

How it works

Hours saved per week = Your hours × a typical automatable share for that process (40–80%) × how repetitive it is (same every time 100%, some variation 60%, different every time 20%). Processes are ranked by hours saved × how easy they usually are to automate. Quick wins are easy processes you said are the same every time. Yearly figures use 46 working weeks.

Assumptions

  • Typical automatable shares come from common small-business automation outcomes and are deliberately cautious.
  • Dollar values use the hourly cost you enter and count freed-up time, not guaranteed cash savings.

Limitations

  • It does not include the cost of the tools or setup; use the ROI calculator for that.
  • Your own process may be more or less automatable than typical.
